Richmond Student Reaches Plea Agreement In Poison Attempt

Authorities said a 12-year-old Richmond boy accused of trying to poison his teacher reached a plea agreement on Tuesday.

Prosecutors agreed to drop an attempted murder charge in exchange for the boy pleading guilty to criminal recklessness.

Police said the Vaile Elementary School student sprayed a chemical degreaser into a teacher’s coffee cup.

He will be sentenced at a later date.
