Rooster with frostbite found in Dayton

Not just dogs and cats can be affected by cold.

A rooster with frostbite was found on the side of the road Friday in East Dayton by a Humane Society of Greater Dayton investigator.

People who work with animals say to be careful with the amount of time pets are exposed to the cold and snow. The pads of their feet can become frozen over time.

For animals left outside, make sure they have proper food and water that’s not frozen.
