For the first time ever the Greater Dayton RTA will be providing free shuttle service to thousands that will be traveling downtown for the 34th annual Dayton Germanfest picnic.

Dayton RTA and Germanfest officials announced Monday the two were partnering to make this year's celebration more special.

RTA buses will operate in a continuous loop starting north on Jefferson Street, taking several other routes that end the loop back on Jefferson Street.

Officials for the picnic have said there will be several temporary stops located along the shuttle route, so festival attendees will only have to wait a few minutes at a stop to catch the next bus.
