“The finalists will be determined at that time,” Lewis said.
Lewis said the board and a community group selected to assist in choosing the next superintendent will do final interviews Jan. 29, and the board plans to announce the successful candidate during a special meeting Jan. 31.
The board is replacing Keith St. Pierre whose resignation was announced in the fall and is effective this month.
The candidates are all from different parts of Ohio except for one who hails from Texas, according to Debbie Campbell, the lead consultant on the search with K12 Business Consulting.
Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Schools spent $13,900 to hire K12 Business Consulting, $2,000 of which is being paid for by the Greene County Education Services Center, Campbell said.

“In light of the difficult job of the school superintendent, many districts find that securing qualified, competent, successful applicants for the position is difficult,” she said. “Districts hire our firm because we recruit candidates to fill the position. We assist the Board in developing a search profile by meeting with key stakeholders and staff before the search begins.”
K12 Business Consulting offers a variety of services to school districts across the state, including five-year forecasting, efficiency studies and capital planning, and have assisted in searches in local districts such as Fairborn, Lebanon, Springboro and Beavercreek.
