Sexual offender arrested hiding in closet

A registered sexual offender was arrested today by Clark County sheriff’s deputies after he failed to register his address.

The sheriff’s office received a tip that Bradley Michael Long, 28, was at 1009 Oak St. in Springfield. Deputies conducted a check of the house and found Long hiding in the upstairs bedroom closet, according to a release.

Long was taken into custody and transported to the Clark County Jail on a warrant for failing to register his address as a sex offender.

Long was convicted in 2010 of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor in Clark County. He is classified as Tier I sex offender and is required to register his address once a year for 15 years.
