The precipitation will start as rain showers today. Rain will move in during the afternoon with highs near 40 degrees. As temperatures cool off in the evening it will mix into light snow showers which will taper off around midnight.
“That should happen before we fall below freezing,” Simpson said. “So no road issues are anticipated for through midnight.”
Scattered snow showers pick up again around sunrise Wednesday morning as temperatures fall into the lower 20s.
“If we do have any road issues it will most likely be Wednesday morning,” Simpson said.
Wednesday’s high will be in the mid- to upper 20s with snow ending by midday and a bit of afternoon sun is expected.
On Thursday, early sun will again give way to rain and possible light snow showers. The high will be in the mid-30s, but the day will start very cold, with temperatures in the teens.
There is a chance of light snow showers again throughout the day on Friday and a few flurries could stick around Saturday.
Highs will be the upper 20s on Friday and the mid-20s on Saturday.
