SOFAST, police arrest rape suspect

Huber Heights police and the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Stike Team arrested a man this morning on an active warrant stemming from a rape charge, according to police.

Barton Duane Gamble, 29, was arrested inside an apartment in the 7500 block of Mt. Whitney Drive Friday morning. Police and SOFAST surrounded the house just after 6 a.m. to serve an arrest warrant in regards to rape using a gun, according to police.

Police made entry into the apartment at 7:20 a.m., where Gamble, along with a female and two juveniles were also located. Gamble was arrested without incident and taken to the Montgomery County Jail.

The adult female was arrested for obstructing justice, a felony.

The warrant for his arrest had been active for about four days, according to authorities. Kissee said.
