Denver-based Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project will unveil its specialty beers in the southwest Ohio market starting next week, and a handful of release-party events are planned to introduce the brewery's lineup to local beer enthusiasts.

Beginning the week of Feb. 13, Cavalier Distributing will distribute draft versions of Crooked Stave's beers at select bars and restaurants throughout the region. The beers include Von Pilsner, Rotational American IPA, Trellis Buster American Double IPA, Colorado Wildsage Saison, St. Bretta Saison, and Hop Savant, along with limited barrel-aged blends, wild ales and cellar reserve releases.

“We believe our craft progressive beers are a perfect fit in (Cavalier’s) portfolio,” Crooked Stave’s founder and brewmaster, Chad Yakobson, said in a release.

Crooked Stave has developed something of a cult following since opening in Colorado in 2011. Wooden barrels and innovative fermentation techniques are a focal point of the brewery and its beers.

Southwest Ohio Crooked Stave launch events include a special tapping at Ollie's Place at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13; a release party at Jungle Jim's International Market's Fairfield store at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15; and a launch party at Cappy's Wine & Spirits in Loveland at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17.

Cavalier Distributing operates in Florida, Indiana, and Ohio. Its Ohio operations are based in Cincinnati.
