Sommerville said all the Springfield employees were offered positions at other Lone Star locations in Columbus and Dayton, with more than half accepting those jobs.
"We want to do whatever we can to help our employees, especially in this tough economy," Sommerville said.
The restaurant has been open for a little over 16 years, making it one of the first restaurants in that stretch of Bechtle Avenue, serving the community long before the newer choices along the recently developed portion of North Bechtle, she said.
