Standoff Ends At Miamisburg Knights Inn

Police in Miamisburg said a standoff that began around 8:30 a.m. Thursday ended around 12:15 p.m.

Authorities said the man barricaded himself in a room at the Knights Inn on Byers Road, prompting the SWAT Team to be called to the scene. Officers said they evacuated several local motels and restaurants, including Bob Evans, Perkins and a Red Roof Inn that are located near the Knights Inn.

Investigators said the man surrendered to officers peacefully and was taken into custody. Medics on the scene took the man to a local hospital for evaluation.

At this time, police are working to try and get the man out of the motel.
