I panicked and referenced Napoleon Dynamite as an independent film in my world Cinema history exam and then literally wrote I am sorry on the blue book
— Ann Mark (@annmarkk) December 15, 2017
Update TWO other girls in this class have reached out and told me they wrote about Napoleon Dynamite it truly is a relevant film bless 💫 https://t.co/FabsZ6pvm5

The video went viral, with more than 100,000 retweets and 300,000 likes on Twitter. She even got a reply from UT-Austin President Gregory L. Fenves, who offered to buy her four years worth of blue books, which typically cost less than a dollar each and are needed a handful of times per academic year.
Currently emailing @gregfenves for the security footage of the window incident

College can be challenging, but Ann, you’re clearly cut out for UT! Send me a direct message, and we’ll make sure you have enough Blue Books for the next four years. As for security video, I’m not sure what we can find… https://t.co/ozJOsJ0Ud7

Twitter users replied to Mark in droves, offering her advice and writing that they’ve had similar experiences.
"Just so you know you'll have nightmares about this for the next 80 years," wrote a Twitter user named Mike Obie.
Bless your heart! It will get better from this point on. You're going to do amazing this. How sweet of you to share the true frustrations of finals week. I hope you have a restful break and may your next semester finals be less stressful.

😂🤘 So many UT memories here! Don’t worry every student messes up Hogg/Hogg at least once. Not as many run into windows though

I have a story quite similar to this one but I ended up being 24 hours early for the exam so went home and slept

This was the best commentary! I have had a similar experience showing up to the wrong room and time to take a test at UT. It happens to the best of us. If I was your RTF prof I would give you an A for this video. Good luck graduating!

LMAOOO if it makes you feel any better i went to three different buildings my freshman year except i ended up showing up 45 minutes late to the exam 💀
— patback (@memeforhire) December 15, 2017
Hogg Auditorium vs. Hogg the building has burned me before too. Now for your next RTF class, you have to write your paper on this marvelous 2 minute film you just made. Hook’ Em 👍🏻🐂

Mem'rees!! Go girl! UT gets easier; hang in there! (At least, those details get easier.)

Some tweets even suggested she should become a comedian because her video had people cracking up.

“you have to go and buy special paper so your professor can read it cause apparently they’re illiterate whenever you write on notebook paper like OKAY”

At least winter break is almost here. College is hard, and we’ve all been there one way or another.
traumatized having war flashbacks of my days in undergrad

Hopefully Mark learned her lesson: Go to class.
Once I get a blue book, figure out where my exam is, and start walking with my arm out in front of me it’s over for you people
