Memory card problems cause delay in results

DAYTON — The final vote counts in Dayton and parts of Montgomery County are being held up tonight, Nov. 3, because six memory cards were inadvertently left in the voting machines at polling places, said Steve Harsman, director of the county Board of Elections.

Two of those cards are in Dayton precincts and are keeping the cliffhanger race for mayor up in the air.

Harsman said just before 11 p.m. that his staff knows where all the cards are and have been dispatched to retrieve them.
