Activities include free health screenings, employment options, educational information, governmental resources, mental health services and other community resources, read the release. A free lunch will be provided to the first 300 veterans in attendance.
There are currently over 70 vendors signed up to attend. They include ASPIN, DOT Foods, Stant, Indiana Legal Services, Social Security Administration, IU East, and Richmond Community Based Outreach Clinic.
“A small idea five years ago with no budget has blossomed into what is probably the largest event of this kind in Eastern Indiana,” Brian Rea, WorkOne Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist. “All of a sudden we had partners and businesses wanting to help out and donating their services. That’s a positive community at work.”
