Newport Aquarium closed due to power outage, animals are safe

Sunday's storms caused power outages to Newport on the Levee and closed the Newport Aquarium for the day, according to our partners at WCPO.

Newport on the Levee lost power, but it has since been restored and has reopened.

The Newport Aquarium also lost power this morning, and backup generators are working so the animals are safe, but it will be closed for today until their power is fully restored.
