“This tool will allow Ohio consumers to verify, then trust,” Yost said.

The searchable database was developed in-house by Yost’s Information Technology Services and Consumer Protection sections, and it houses civil lawsuits and criminal indictments filed by the attorney general’s Consumer Protection Section and its Economic Crimes Unit since 2013
Users will also find links to the office’s existing consumer complaint database and Online Public Inspection File, a database of court judgments and assurances of voluntary compliance resulting from consumer cases.
