Toledo police — including its SWAT team — and campus police responded to the student union around 4 p.m. to a report of a man with a gun, according to newspaper and WTOL-TV reports.
Nothing was found after several sweeps of the building. However, the building would remain closed until Sunday as a precaution, a university trustee told the newspaper.

Members of the Toledo police SWAT team arrived on the east side of the student union around 5:30 p.m. for reports of a gunman inside the facility, which is on lockdown, WTOL-TV reported.

Toledo police are assisting Univeristy of Toledo with an unfolding situation at the student union, which is on lockdown.

WTOL is receiving reports from students that police have the student union surrounded, and that their guns are drawn, and other officers are inside the building, the station reported.

The University of Toledo has issued an alert about a dangerous situation near the student union.
People are asked to stay away from the area, and police are on scene, CBS affiliate WTOL-TV in Toledo reported.
