Suspect Captured In February Home Invasion

There is new information Tuesday about a home invasion in Sugarcreek Township that happened in February. Police have arrested a man they call a prime suspect.

Investigators have been working the case for three months.

Ronnie Hatton was taken to the Greene County Jail on Tuesday in connection with the Feb. 28 home invasion of Feather Hedge Court. Police said Hatton may be the person who broke into the home and assaulted the homeowner, sending him to a local hospital.

Sgt. Jim Deaton said, "At this time, the motive we're looking into is robbery. Perhaps knowledge of things in the house that were worth wealth to the suspect."

Hatton was charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and felonious assault. A warrant has been issued for a second suspect who is described as a male juvenile.

Police said they believe the home invasion was an isolated incident , though Deaton said patrols have been stepped up in the area.
