Target attracted more customers to its website Tuesday than it has on any other single day in 2018.
Millions shopped Target.com that day for its sales coinciding with Amazon’s annual Prime Day, securing Target.com’s highest sales in a single day so far this year.
The most popular deals were on small appliances, beauty and personal care, baby items, home and technology, with 25 percent off small appliances, 30 percent off Target home brands, 25 percent off beauty and personal care items and 30 percent off select baby products.
Nearly 90 percent of Tuesday’s orders will be fulfilled directly from Target stores, a company release said.
The Minneapolis-based company has 1,829 stores in addition to its website. There are four in the Dayton area and 13 in the Cincinnati region.
The sales day debuted on the second day of Amazon’s popular Prime Day shopping holiday. Other online retailers like eBay and Newegg also offered special deals coinciding with the day that has become an all-over online sales day.
