Teen Mother Shot In Mouth With Revolver

A teen mother was shot in the mouth during what Dayton police said may have been a game of Russian roulette.

However, there is some question as to whether the victim was taking part in the dangerous game in which she was badly injured.

The shooting happened on Banker Street, which is located in the DeSoto Bass Apartment complex late Thursday night.

Police said a 17-year-old girl, the mother of a 3-year-old, was shot in the mouth.

Lt. John Bardun said, “Apparently, she and an 18-year-old male were playing some sort of a Russian roulette game.”

According to police reports, the young man and woman had argued when the man picked up a .357 magnum revolver, and removed five rounds from the cylinder, pointed the weapon at the woman and pulled the trigger.

A witness told police that the teenage girl was not playing, but the man continued the dangerous game.

Bardun said, “The male put the gun to the female’s mouth and pulled the trigger more than once. The gun discharged into her mouth, taking out a number of teeth and the bullet ended up in the female’s upper mouth.”

Witnesses told police that before the shooter fled the apartment, he told the victim that he loved her and asked her not to prosecute.

The panicked victim then ran next door, where here aunt lives and called 911.

The 17-year-old was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with injuries that are described as serious, but not life-threatening.

The alleged shooter, 18-year-old Gregoryon Williams, was pulled over for reckless driving about 30 minutes later.

He was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of felonious assault.
