As part of a plea agreement, Tindall pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated murder, but charges of rape, aggravated burglary, breaking and entering, and abuse of a corpse were dismissed.
"She was so full of life, and she was enjoying her golden years," said Steven Green, one of Joan Green's children. "He needs to be away for life, that's all we ask for."
The aggravated murder charge carries a penalty of life in prison, but it will be up to a judge to decide if Tindall should be sentenced to life in prison without parole, or if he'll be eligible for release after 20, 25 or 30 years.
Steven Green describes Tindall as evil.
"We are going to have to live with (this murder) forever, and he is going to have to live (in prison) forever," he said. "He'll never hurt anybody else."
The group home Tindall escaped from has been shut down. Tindall's sentencing will happen on Oct. 16th.
