Ohio is the third most indebted state in the United States, a new report from Wallethub found. The state’s high ranking is just the latest development in the student loan crisis.

Recently, news broke that billions of dollars in privately held student loans may be forgiven because paperwork has gone missing that proves ownership. Thousands of students could have their debt wiped away because of the issue, The New York Times reported.
