Jimmy Klayton Lauder is accused of arson and child endangerment for the Dec. 16 incident. He was originally held on no bond, but a Harris County judge changed it Tuesday to $51,000, KPRC reported.
Lindsey Lauder and her two children, ages 2 and 4, retreated to an upstairs bedroom after Jimmy Lauder allegedly set the house on fire, the television station reported.

Authorities said when Jimmy Lauder went to his home, he appeared to be intoxicated and upset and began throwing items around the house, KTRK reported. When the smoke alarm went off, Lindsey Lauder called 911, the television station reported.

Family members were shaken after the incident.

"I worry for all of our safety," Lindsey Lauder's mother, Tessie Fraysur, told KHOU. "I don't sleep at night because of fear.

"I do believe he did try to kill them," Fraysur told the television station. "There's no doubt in my mind about that."
