Bend Active has shut down its store at the Mall at Fairfield Commons and will open in larger quarters at The Greene Town Center in about 10 days.

The clothing store that specializes in fitness wear will move into a 2,900-square-foot tenant space at 4465 Glengarry Drive that formerly held an Aeropostale store, which closed earlier this year. Bend Active shut down its location in the Mall at Fairfield Commons a few weeks ago, according to Johnny Campbell, business developer for Columbus-based Bend Active.

The retailer’s new store at The Greene will be nearly three times the size of the previous store, and the demographics of The Greene’s shoppers more closely match Bend Active’s target audience, said Campbell, the former president and founder of Cardboard Heroes and president of The Buckeye Room stores.

Campbell said the new Beavercreek store is scheduled to open on or around May 6. It will have about 10 employees.

The store will specialize in flexible, strong clothing with a “fitness meets fashion” concept, Campbell said. The new location at The Greene will host complimentary classes in yoga, Pilates, fitness and general wellness, and will collaborate with local yoga and fitness studios and instructors.

“We are very happy to add this Fit-fashion innovation to the center,” said Steve Willshaw, general manager of The Greene Town Center. “It’s a perfect addition to the unique mix of tenants in our lineup.”

Bend Active also operates a store on Lane Avenue near the campus of Ohio State University.
