Associate Pastor Aaron Deal said, “It’s just over 20,000 square feet and is designed for kids and families.”
Part of the building is called “Kids Street,” and with its colorful cartoons and plastic playgrounds, the place resembles an amusement park.
Deal said, “Kids walk in and can’t wait to come to church.”
Deal said the thieves broke into the building on Saturday and shattered a window.
“We had it boarded up, and then on Sunday, they broke an additional window,” Deal said.
During both burglaries the thieves managed to steal nearly $40,000 in flat screen televisions, video games and furniture.
Deal said, “They took all the furniture and left the plants. Leather furniture, end tables, lamps and everything.”
Det. Ryan Whitaker said, “We believe that more than one person was involved.”
Construction crews are working to repair the damage and said the thieves will have to answer to a higher power.
Steve Schwab, who is one of the construction workers, said, “When they go up there, they will have to explain how they did this.”
Deal said the break-in shocked and disappointed his congregation. However, they still have faith and they have insurance.
“That building is not our church. The church is our people. That’s just a tool. God takes care of us always. We’re just praying that something good comes out of it,” Deal said.

Officials at Faircreek Church said they are in the process of increasing its security by adding more cameras and an alarm system.
