Time for a change?

Let's hope a Middletown school board member or basketball coach (Bob) Ronai will call it quits and resign. Middletown was known for steel and basketball. The coach of the Middletown basketball team is blessed with some of the best talent in the state. It is obvious the program is going no place. Mr. Ronai — let's face it — has run his course. The people and players deserve much better. Let's hope another bad situation is resolved.

Even though I am a union supporter, I am having a problem with the public unions. ... The private sector drives the public sector. Think about it. Every penny that a public employee makes in pay and benefits, pays in union dues, and even pays in taxes comes from private-sector taxes. It would also be true that private-sector unions drive public-sector unions. Here's my problem: Why is it that, when you go through a teachers' parking lot — or any public employees' parking lot — you see so many non-union cars?
