Candidates should have mechanical skills, a high school or General Educational Development diploma, valid driver’s license and good driving record, according to Time Warner Cable’s announcement.
Those with experience installing cable systems are encouraged to apply, according to the company’s announcement.
“We are looking for those who have a good blend of technical know-how and social skills,” said Bill Thomison, vice president of technical operations. “To provide superior customer care, it is vital that our technical employees have the ability to naturally interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.”
The cable company has a “start-from-home” program in which field technicians do not have to report to a facility at the beginning of their shift, said Cynthia Godby of Time Warner Cable.
