Man seriously injured in Harrison Twp. pedestrian crash

Deputies in Harrison Township said a man hit by a vehicle at Riverside Drive and Wampler Avenue suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators said the victim walked into the middle of the street when he was hit. Our crew on the scene observed no crosswalks in the area of the investigation.

Deputies did not release if the vehicle that hit the man stopped. It was not clear whether the white vehicle at the scene hit him.

Investigators did not say if the pedestrian or driver was at fault.

Additional information is expected to be released later.

FIRST REPORT

Deputies and medics in Harrison Township have responded to reports of a person hit by a vehicle on Riverside Drive late Wednesday night.

Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Riverside Drive and Wampler Avenue around 11:20 p.m. after a man was reportedly hit by a vehicle.

Initial reports indicate the victim was unconscious, but their condition was not immediately known.
