Trial date set in Monroe outlet mall incident

A Trotwood man shot this summer by a Monroe police officer at the Cincinnati Premium Outlets is scheduled to stand trial next month.

Jamarcus Levon Brown, 22, was indicted last month by a Warren County grand jury on charges of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; felonious assault, a first-degree felony; and assault, a fourth-degree felony.

Following a pretrial hearing Monday, Warren County Common Pleas Judge James L. Flannery set Brown’s trail for Nov. 21. Brown is in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.

The shooting occurred after Brown fled from and tried to run over Monroe Officer Chad Caudill, police said.
