Trotwood Fire Destroys Garage, Two Cars

Authorities said a fire in Trotwood destroyed a garage and damaged two homes. The fire happened early Wednesday morning at a home on the corner of Brumbaugh and Currundu.

Fire crews worked hard to contain the flames that tore through the garage. Officials said the homeowner woke up to the sound of his dogs barking.

Authorities said when the man went to check on the dogs, he saw flames and rushed to call for help. The fire spread to two homes shattering glass, melting siding and damaging some of the interior.

Fire officials said they had no problem fighting the blaze, but the damage was extensive. Investigators said no one was injured in the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
