2 Troy Speedways robbed, suspect caught

A man was arrested early Friday morning after his alleged involvement in two robberies at Speedway stations.

Deputies spotted a suspect vehicle a short time after the robberies occurred and arrested Daniel Hymer, 29. Hymer of West Milton is being charged with two counts of robbery.

Officers said Hymer entered the first Speedway, 1475 W. Market St., around 1:04 a.m. Thirteen minutes later police believe the same man robbed a second Speedway, 1894 W. Main St.

Both stores are 24-hour locations and police said there is surveillance video of the reported crimes.

Hymer was arraigned on 1 count of robbery, 1 count of aggravated robbery and 2 counts of possessing criminal tools and booked into the Miami County Jail. His bond was set at $200,000 in Miami County Municipal Court.
