Crews in West Milton put out a fire that erupted in the bed of a truck that spread to nearby Skippers Tavern, 101 N. Miami St.

Flames engulfed the truck and melted some siding and insulation on the building but no one was hurt, according to a West Milton fire official.

Officials said the driver of the truck was traveling on North Miami Street when people waved him over because there was a fire in the bed of the truck.

The man pulled over right next to the bar.

Skippers Tavern remained open for business.
