Uber’s restaurant delivery service starts in Ohio

Uber has started its restaurant delivery service in Columbus, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

UberEats will bring orders, from about 80 restaurants, including Donatos, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams and 6-1-Pho, according to the Dispatch. Columbus is the first city in Ohio to get the service.

Columbus has several competitors in Columbus, including Cafe Courier, GrubHub and Skip the Dishes.

For a limited time, delivery from UberEats will be free and the prices from restaurants are not marked up, according to Uber. Users will have to download a different app from the ridesharing one, but the experience should be similar, with real-time tracking of the progress of the Uber driver.
