It is neither a merger nor an acquisition, but is a joint operating agreement in 2008 between Upper Valley Medical Center and Premier Health Partners of Dayton announced Wednesday afternoon at Upper Valley Medical Center.
Under the proposed agreement, UVMC would become the fourth regional hospital affiliated with Premier. Current members include Miami Valley Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital and Middletown Regional Hospital in Middletown.
