Valley Food Relief needs your help

Dear Reader,

Hunger is not a choice. Giving is. That’s why the Dayton Daily News and The Foodbank join together every year to ask for your help to stamp out hunger in the Miami Valley through your support of the Valley Food Relief campaign.

Last year, the Valley Food Relief campaign provided $214,654 to assist The Foodbank in the purchase of nutritious wholesale food supplies. Your kind generosity enabled The Foodbank to distribute more than 686,000 pounds of wholesome food to community and faith-based food pantries, shelters, and community kitchens. For every $1 received, The Foodbank provides food for four meals for hungry families in Montgomery, Greene and Preble counties, all because of The Foodbank’s wholesale purchase program combined with donated food.

Here’s how you can donate:

  • Click on www.DaytonDailyNews.com/foodrelief for directions for online giving.
  • Send a check to Dayton Daily News Valley Food Relief, 56 Armor Place Dayton, Ohio, 45417
  • Look for the envelopes inserted in the Dayton Daily News in today's paper and on December 7th and 21st.

All of us at the Dayton Daily News thank you for your compassion and your generosity. And, as always, your donations are tax deductible. Best wishes for a joyous and safe holiday season.

Sincerely,

Julia Wallace
