Van hauling gumball machine crashes into paint truck

Gumballs are littered across eastbound Interstate 70 in Bethel Twp. after a van hauling a gumball machine crashed into the back of a construction truck.

Shortly before 1 p.m., the van hauling the gumball machine crashed into the rear of a paint truck, which was being used to paint lines on the highway.

The van is overturned, and as of 1:30 p.m., only the far right lane is open.

The driver of the paint truck was taken to an area hospital as a precaution, and the driver of the van was taken to an area hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Authorities said driver inattention is to blame for the crash.
