One person was taken to a hospital Thursday night after a two-vehicle accident in the 5900 block of State Route 741.
The accident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. when a full-size work van pulled out onto 741 (Springboro Pike) and into the path of a Cadillac DTS sedan, which was headed south.
The collision, in the section of 741 between Cindy Drive and Eckley Boulevard, sent the van spinning. It ended up in the road, on its side, Miami Twp. police Sgt. Matt Nicley said. The woman driving the sedan was suffered minor injuries. The driver of the van, a male, refused treatment at the scene, Nicley said.
Troopers with the Ohio Highway Patrol are handling the investigation, which will most likely end with the van driver being cited for failure to yield when pulling onto the road, Nicley said.
Miami Twp. police handled the traffic control part of the incident, which briefly caused the road to be shut down.
