Newly-released video from a November 2017 incident shows a shootout between two Pennsylvania troopers and a man soon to be sentenced for attempted murder.

It all started when a 22-year-old man was pulled over for speeding. State troopers Ryan Seiple and Seth Kelly attempted to arrest the man on suspicion of driving while high.

But the man -- Daniel Clary -- resisted.

Troopers shot him with a Taser and he fell into a lane of traffic. But he was not going down without a fight.

He somehow was able to get up to grab a pistol from his car. That was when he opened fire on the troopers, got inside his car and drove off.

Kelly was left at the scene bleeding from a torn femoral artery, according to CBS News.

He spent 12 days in a coma. He's now recovering and plans to return to work with Seiple.

Clay was later arrested at a hospital, and he faces sentencing for attempted murder.
