YESTERDAY: Local breweries clean up at international beer competition
The July 22 tapping will be accompanied by yard games on the patio, live music with Todd the Fox and food and drink specials.
Dry-hopped with Mosaic hops, Crooked Griffin has a slightly nutty malt flavor and a firm, smooth bitterness, Wandering Griffin's founders said. "It's the first beer we're serving that we can say is ours," Young said.

“We’ve been using the phrase ‘partly cloudy with a chance of hops’ to describe it. It’s not too hoppy, has a nice haze to it, and really is just perfectly balanced for summertime drinking.”

The 10,000-square-foot brewpub opened late last year and is located at the former Quaker Steak & Lube space off Colonel Glenn Highway, across from Wright State University.
