What a shame we do not have fair and even reporting in our community. Punish the deed, not the breed.

I find myself amazed at the sheer lack of interest in positive stories related to bully breed dogs. Media, in general, tend to follow only the negative and violent stories that are caused by poorly educated individuals not worthy of owning any kind of pet, let alone a pit bull.
In the past four months, I have read at least two stories about the horrors of owning one of these dogs, but have read zero stories about the positives and pleasures. Despite widespread invitations sent to local media, not one reporter and not one photographer bothered to show up to the “Pittie Please, Find a Cure Walk” at VOA on Oct. 3. There were more than 50 dogs present, most of which were pit bulls, with good, responsible owners, proving that these dogs can make wonderful pets.
What a shame we do not have fair and even reporting in our community. Punish the deed, not the breed.
