WHIO, Dayton Daily to broadcast school safety forum Monday

The school shooting in Parkland, Fla., last month has families around the region talking about safety and our schools.

Lawmakers in Columbus are considering new state laws. Gov. John Kasich is calling for changes. Some sheriffs say the answer is to arm teachers.

The debate is raging and people are searching for solutions.

On Monday, March 12, WHIO-TV Channel 7, the Dayton Daily News and AM1290 and News 95.7 WHIO are hosting a Schools, Guns and Safety Town Hall forum to get your questions answered.

News Center 7 anchor James Brown will talk with students, teachers, school administrators, law enforcement and lawmakers during the forum, which is from 7-8:30 p.m.
