Woman Accused Of Shooting Husband Gets $1M Bond

A Dayton woman accused of killing her husband will have to come up with $1 million to get out of jail.

Bond was set Friday for 59-year-old Mary Yaqeen. She was in court for the first time on murder and felonious assault charges.

Police said Mary Yaqeen shot her husband, 60-year-old Yunus Yaqeen, on Tuesday inside their Savannah Avenue home.

According to police, Mary Yaqeen called 911, claiming she had killed her husband in self-defense. She is due back in court next week.
