Woman Charged With Stealing From Eye Doctor

A long time employee of a Huber Heights eye doctor was charged with stealing more than $100,000 from the business over the past four years.

A Montgomery County Grand Jury indicted Tina Jaynes on Monday.

Investigators said Jaynes stole the money from Gemini Eye Care from September of 2005 to July of this year.

She is out of jail and expected to appear in court later this month.

Jaynes worked as an executive director for the business.

Jaynes is no longer employed by Gemini Eye Care.

LATE THIS AFTERNOON WE RECEIVED AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM GEMINI EYECARE. IT STATES, "WE AS OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES OF GEMINI EYECARE ARE DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED AND FEEL BETRAYED BY A LONG TERM EMPLOYEE WHO WE TRUSTED WITH A GREAT DEAL OF RESPONSIBILITY."
