Woman extricated at Harrison Twp. crash

Two people were taken to hospitals, including an older woman who was temporarily entrapped, in a two-vehicle crash at Shiloh Springs and Wolf roads late this morning.

The crash shortly before 11 a.m. shut down the intersection for more than an hour.

Firefighters used tools to cut away wreckage of one of the vehicles to free the driver, a woman in her 70s. A Harrison Twp. fire official said the extrication took approximately 20 minutes.

The woman’s injuries were considered serious and she was taken to Granview Hospital. The passenger in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, according to an official at the scene.

Harrison Twp. deputies responded and investigated the crash, but did not provide any information about what happened.
