A Dayton male received a summons to appear in court after his dog reportedly bit a DP&L contractor Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the pitbull terrier mix, belonging to Wendell Algee Jr., 26, broke loose from his property and bit the 25-year-old male contractor on the ankle while he was trimming trees just a few houses down.

The contractor did not require a medic. Algee said his house has a clear sign for trespassers to beware of his dog, named “Oreo,” according to the report.

Police say, the dog acted in an extremely aggressive manner and ordered Algee to have it quarantined.
