New baby white rhino born at Toronto Zoo

A new baby announcement has come in from the Toronto Zoo. A 7-year-old white rhinoceros gave birth to a male calf on Christmas Eve.

He's the first white rhino to be born at the zoo in almost 30 years, and weighs in at just over 62 kilos (about 136 pounds).

Both mother and baby are doing well, and have been moved to an indoor maternity area, which means you're going to have to wait a while before seeing the new arrival in person.
