Wright-Patt to represent AFMC in Installation Excellence competition

Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was recently chosen to represent Air Force Materiel Command at this year’s Commander in Chief’s Installation Excellence competition.

“I am very pleased to announce that Wright-Patterson Air Force Base has been selected to represent AFMC in the 2018 [CINC] competition,” said Col. Shawn Moore, Air Force Installation and Mission Support Center Detachment 6 commander, in an email.

“Team Wright-Patterson’s nomination clearly captures their commitment to excellence that has created an environment that promotes innovative and creative ways of enhancing base-level services, facilities and quality of life,” said Moore. “They will now compete against the other major commands at the Air Force level of the competition. Their outstanding contributions and commitment to excellence are clearly evident in all of this year’s submissions. Please join me in congratulating Team Wright-Patterson on this outstanding achievement and wishing them continued success at the AF level!”

“This is testament to the ‘strength through support’ provided on a day-to-day basis here at Wright-Patt by everyone in the wing,” said Col. Bradley McDonald 88th Air Base Wing commander. “I’m proud to serve with every civilian, officer, and enlisted Airman in our amazing wing. It’s awesome to see their dedication and results be recognized.”
