*** ORIGINAL STORY (Jan. 4, 2019) ***
A small restaurant with a rather intriguing name is under development on East Fifth Street in Dayton.
“Stoney’s Munchie Bar” is the brainchild of JesseSeiber and his mother, Teresa Seiber, and it could open as early as this spring at 1929 E. Fifth St. in Dayton, the Seibers told this news outlet. The space previously housed a restaurant called The Spot.
Stoney’s Munchie Bar will be “a free flowing restaurant specializing in your munchie needs,” according to its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TheMunchieBar.
Here’s what Jesse Seiber told us about Stoney’s:
“We are going to be serving all-day breakfast and lunch. We will have some crafted grilled sandwiches and build-your-own options. Everything will be made from scratch and we will feature weekly menu specials.”
“My hope for the restaurant is to bring a positive vibe to the community. I’ve always wanted to have a job where I could be real personal with the customers and provide a service that makes me feel great about what I’m doing.”
“We are still in the process of remodeling the place and sad to say it’s taken a year to do so. But once we are finished, I’m planing a soft opening that will span probably a week or two. “
