‘Stoney's Munchie Bar’ gearing up to open in Dayton

New independent restaurant coming to East Fifth Street is now accepting applications

Stoney’s Munchie Bar” — the small independent restaurant under development at 1929 E. Fifth St. in Dayton — is accepting applications and gearing up to open perhaps in late April.

“I’m looking for 3 amazing people,” said Jesse Seiber, co-founder along with his mother, Teresa, of Stoney’s. “I want to make sure whoever I bring in has not only a positive attitude but will be passionate about their work. I’m waiting until we drill the last screw to announce the grand opening.

“If it all works out as planned, we will be opening in the last two weeks of April.”

Those interested in applying can email a resume to Employees will serve as line cook, perform kitchen prep, take orders and clean.

A small restaurant with a rather intriguing name is under development on East Fifth Street in Dayton.

Stoney’s Munchie Bar” is the brainchild of JesseSeiber and his mother, Teresa Seiber, and it could open as early as this spring at 1929 E. Fifth St. in Dayton, the Seibers told this news outlet. The space previously housed a restaurant called The Spot.

Stoney’s Munchie Bar will be “a free flowing restaurant specializing in your munchie needs,” according to its Facebook page,

Here’s what Jesse Seiber told us about Stoney’s:

“We are going to be serving all-day breakfast and lunch. We will have some crafted grilled sandwiches and build-your-own options. Everything will be made from scratch and we will feature weekly menu specials.”

“My hope for the restaurant is to bring a positive vibe to the community. I’ve always wanted to have a job where I could be real personal with the customers and provide a service that makes me feel great about what I’m doing.”

Stoney's Munchie Bar is under development in this space that previously housed The Spot on East Fifth Street in Dayton.

“We are still in the process of remodeling the place and sad to say it’s taken a year to do so. But once we are finished, I’m planing a soft opening that will span probably a week or two. “
