Burger King has introduced what it calls the first dog-bone treat that features its flame-grilled taste — but there’s a bit of a catch in how you and your pup can obtain one.
The “Dogpper” is available for free, but exclusively through DoorDash, and customers must order a Whopper sandwich to get the dog treat. The offer is not available to carry-out or dine-in customers, the fast-food chain’s officials said.
In a release, Burger King said it “knows that dog owners often deal with their furry friend begging for food when they order delivery. Many dog owners have even admitted to sharing part of their meal with them.”
BK officials called the Dogpper “a bone-shaped treat with flame-grilled beef taste for the dogs of ... generous owners.”
This news outlet checked with a spokesman for the Illinois-based franchise group that operates Burger King restaurants in the Dayton area, and he confirmed that local Burger King stores are, indeed, participating in the Dogpper promotion.
The Burger King release also says new customers can get free delivery with a minimum $10 order at DoorDash. To redeem the $0 delivery fee offer, use promo code DOGPPER through Dec. 4.
