On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, Nathan peacefully passed away in his sleep at his Silver Spring, Maryland home. 1970 President of the Washington Lithographers Society and retired Chief Petty Officer Nathan H. Finch will long be remembered for his zest for life. He served on the USS Hornet CV-8 in April 1942, during the Doolittle Raid and June 1942 Battle of

Midway. He continued to serve during the Korea War. After 20 years in the Navy, he became the main Supervisor in the printing office of the Departments of Labor and Federal

Energy Administration located in Washington, DC. His lifelong motto was "Move Forward with Vigor".

Loving husband of the late Shirley D. Finch, beloved father of Daniel T. (Becky Behling) Finch, William R. (Carol Bullock) Finch, Jeanne E. Ebaugh, James N. (Joellen Farrell) Finch,

Timothy J. (Savannah) Finch, Joan F. (Mike) Carragher, and

Richard J. Finch; brother of Thomas Lee (Sharon Ann) Finch of his birthplace Springfield, Ohio, and the late Daniel R. Finch, Lucille Viola Gaier, Edna White, Violet Wilson, Elizabeth Finch, Richard Finch, Jack E. Finch, and Patricia Ann Johnston. Also survived by 11 beloved grandchildren, 10 healthy great-grandchildren, a host of relatives especially his nearest and dearest niece Carol Carins, his loving nephew David Finch, his beloved and dedicated niece 'Finch Family Historian' Karen M.

Johnston Davison of Gallipolis, Ohio.

Burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. The family will be notified when a date is available.
