GRAVENKEMPER, Carl F.
80, of Pitchin, passed away
January 5, 2021, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, on March 20, 1940, the son of Carl and Ruby Gravenkemper. Carl retired from International Harvester with 34 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Springfield Jersey Cattle Club, American Jersey Cattle Club and Local 402. Carl and his wife Cathy could be found at flea markets and
antique shows selling their baked goods or antiques over a span of 34 years. He was known as an avid milk bottle collector as well. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law Helen Kerr and Marjorie Parker; and brother-in-law Frank Kitts. Survivors include his wife of 58 years Catherine, whom he married September 15, 1962; children, Jeannie (Phil)
Anders, Tony (Julie) Gravenkemper, Chris (Susan) Gravenkemper and Paula (Mike) Herzog; grandchildren,
Jessica Gravenkemper and Jacob (finance' Lindsey) Gravenkemper; sister-in-law, Betty Kitts; brother-in-law, Bob Kerr; brother-in-law, Dennie Parker; sister-in-law, Emma Jo (Mike) Burke; aunt, Erma Cafeo; and cousin, Bill Gravenkemper. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will follow in Garlough Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pitchin Volunteer Fire Department, 4163 E. Pitchin Road, Springfield, Ohio 45502.
